Composition No. 2 - Original Abstract Painting on Canvas, 2021
This painting belongs to the moment when I began stepping into abstraction without a safety net.
In 2021 I was testing what felt natural to me. Colour blocks, geometric relationships, vertical interruptions. Structure against softness.
The black vertical lines were almost instinctive. They interrupt the pastel fields and bring tension to an otherwise balanced composition. Pink, muted yellow, soft grey and deep red sit next to each other in deliberate contrast. It is playful but not careless.
Looking back, I can see that this was the beginning of something. I was still cautious, still negotiating space, but I was already interested in clarity and form.
It is small in scale, but strong in composition. A study that stands on its own.
For someone who appreciates early works not as sketches, but as turning points.
