In Poland, we have a saying - as they see you, so they perceive you. And let me not dwell on the, often rash, judgements based on appearance. We will go straight to what WE want to say with our appearance.

T-shirt. A T-shirt with a drawing or an inscription tells us where we've been, what music we listen to and what makes us laugh. What about a t-shirt that says what's important to us?

This is where we, a group of Berlin-based artists led by Dominika & Enrico, come into the picture.

Dominika and Enrico have created the b:njud project, which brings together their knowledge of the fashion industry (including the realities of clothing production), the city's art scene and their desire to improve the world. The idea is to create a collection of t-shirts that are beautiful, carry a message and, on top of that, are ethically produced and are super quality clothes.

Artists who took part in the project:

- Christian Schumacher

- Juli Jah

- Jen Barger

- Lidia Beleninova

- Iza Bułeczka

Read mini-interviews with the artists here.

It doesn't just stop there! Each artist chose an organisation corresponding to the theme of the work that makes a real difference to the world. From environmental action, to bee research, to human rights.

From the purchase of each t-shirt, 10% is donated to the artist's chosen project. You can read about the projects here.

T-shirts can be purchased by supporting the project on StartNext until 16 August. Visit b:njud on instagram.

As you may have guessed, I created a project that glorifies women and talks about how they are simply beautiful. The circle of diverse girls is to be associated with sisterhood and equality.

I donated my 10% to  Centrum Praw Kobiet (Women's Rights Center Foundation). Women's Rights Center Foundation is the oldest non-governmental organization in Poland working to counteract violence against women: helping women, whose laws were breached. CPK offers psychological help, assisting the client during the court trial and police meetings, shelter, 24-hour helpline, social help, supports groups and career advice. CPK helps women to improve their situation, regain sense of safety and faith in own capabilities.

I feel very strongly about it. The current government in Poland is extremely conservative. In 2020, marches against the abortion ban appeared across the country. Despite this, politicians are reinforcing patriarchy. Even the Minister of Education is announcing a return to "feminine virtues". I do not agree with this. I want women to be able to take life into their own hands. That is why I want you to help Polish women fight for their rights, even by a symbolic support such as buying a T-shirt (and thus making a donation).
