Screen printed Tote Bags (very limited edition)

A long time ago, when my hair reached past my waist and wearing masks didn't come to mind at all, I went to a screen printing studio and created dozens of illustrated bags.

Wait a minute, I wrote that as if it took an hour at most. Do you want to know how it really was?

First comes the idea, then comes the sketch, then comes the research. There are plenty of cotton bags on the market and I wanted to choose a) beautiful and well-made, b) truly ecological.

I chose bags made of recycled cotton and polyester (also recycled) in two colours - natural and...more unique, pink.

But the drawing and the bags themselves are not everything. You have to make the drawing appear on the bags and, most importantly, keep it in great condition for a long time.

That's why I decided to screen print and what's more, to print the bags myself! I signed up for a workshop and prepared the screen myself, mixed the right inks for textiles and then, by trial and error, printed the bags. Many had mistakes, but there was also a very limited collection of hand printed, illustrated eco bags. Not only are they beautiful and eco, but they don't lose colour and bravely carry even very heavy groceries.
You are probably wondering why I am writing about them only now? I prepared them with the thought of the fair in mind, which for obvious reasons did not take place...and I simply forgot about the bags. At least until the studio was recently organized.
