Iza Bułeczka is a Berlin-based artist and illustrator from Poland. She has an ongoing love affair with traditional and digital media, abstraction and realism, and journeys within and beyond the horizon - in search of a better world.

Iza has a degree in fashion design and visual communication. For years she worked as a costume designer for film, theatre, and animation. After moving to Berlin, she decided to tell her own stories through drawing. She has just rented a large studio in Alt Lankwitz to be able to swing her brush without restraint.

Feminist. Dog lover. Generously gives people a smile.

„For me, abstract paintings are notes of emotion. I often feel like I’m hiding them in my pockets, and then in the studio, I conjure them up in colors, stains, and textures. Sometimes I write down secrets or poems between the layers of paint. Sometimes I feel that painting is a kind of safe cocoon for me, where I can experience feelings at my own pace. Just like I am learning tenderness”.
